THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT :)

Don't you all just loveee my all-caps and creative title for this post? ;)
Anyway, I believe it's finally time to write about what I have been "busy" with for the last few months. And I'll try to keep this short because I know how boring this post will be without any interesting pictures at all. :P

Well, around four months ago (approximately?) I started the crazy long process of applying to work as an ESL teacher in South Korea. It was a tedious process that started with the filling out of a 13-page long application form, which included an essay. Then, after an initial screening of my application form, I had to schedule for a phone interview. After I passed the interview, I had to Fed-Ex (not cheap!) them a bunch of documents, which cost a lot as well. (FYI, I started gathering these documents before I even emailed them my application because these documents take forever, kinda.) Next, after they receive my package of documents, the waiting game started. I had to wait, wait and wait some more until I get a reply for whether or not I actually got this job. (Doesn't it sound terrible? After spending lots for the documents and everything, I'm still not sure if I've gotten the job yet ><")

BUT I was eventually notified at the beginning of January that I've got placed at one of the metropolitan cities in South Korea and that I'll have to leave by mid-February for a 10-day orientation. I swear I felt like tearing up after I knew that I got the job because everyone around me saw how stressed out I was with this whole process. And it doesn't end right here. After I knew I was hired, I had to wait for the temporary contract to be mailed to me and then I need to take it and apply for a working visa, which took another few days for them to process it. And finally, the long process seems to be finished.

So now, what's the BIG announcement you may think. Hmmm...if you couldn't already tell by the above blurb, I'M LEAVING FOR SOUTH KOREA IN 6 DAYS, that's all. No biggie, right? Well, it might seem like nothing much to some of you, but it's a rather big deal for me and San (whom I'm forcing to come visit me LOL). Oh and guess what? I'm still busy packing my luggages right now as I'm typing this up -__-"

So yeah, there you have it. That's the so-called big news. Wish me luck! :D
P.S. There won't be any changes to this blog after I leave for South Korea, this means that both of us will still be posting here. Oh and hopefully, I'll be more consistent in posting because even random pictures shall be interesting when I'm in Korea? LOL :P

Tomorrow is Christmas!

I can't believe that tomorrow is Christmas already...where did the whole month of December go? And I still had work yesterday -__-" (though I think many others did too :P).

Anyways, I shall stop complaining now. The purpose of this post is to just to post up a bunch of really cute and pretty Christmas related pictures that I've found while looking through this site called weheartit.com. This site is updated with tons of new images every single day and there's pictures of anything you can think of.

(Note: The following images are directly linked from weheartit.com, so if I've used your picture and you want me to take it down or leave you a proper credit then let me know by leaving a comment below.)

These are sooooo pretty! :)
"Frosty the Snowman was a jolly happy soul..."

Yummmmmmm!
Can you tell that I really like Christmas cookies? ;)
I like this Christmas tree! Maybe I can put up a smaller version of this in my room? HAHA
And this one! But I wonder how many light bulbs there are in this tree though o_O
A simple but pretty snow globe! I want one xD

 Mini Christmas stockings!
Lastly, I hope I didn't get everyone bored with these pictures of Christmas (cookies HAHA) and that you understand...

Happy Holidays!

Busy Busy Busy...

Sorry for being MIA for so long...but life seems to be rather busy even after I graduated from university ><" (though this is probably a good thing I guess xD).

Anyways, like San said in her last post I started a new part-time job (and it's actually only one job, not two) but I did go in for an interview the other day for "another" job, which is why she probably got mixed up about it. With this new job I work three days a week and one of these days is Saturday, so it's making me starting to dislike my weekends -__-". And other than that, I'm also taking an online course which is why I'm busy busy busy and have not been updating this blog of ours. Oh and yes I'm lazy too :P

So for this post, I wanted to post up a few beautiful pictures (that I took..hehehe) of my dad's garden back when it was still warm and sunny. By the way, I'm seriously hating how fast the cold weather is coming and that it is already getting dark outside when it's only 5pm. Thus, posting these photos will only make me miss the summer weather even more, but since I really like these pictures I wanted to post them up LOL :)

This is my favourite one! :D
Rock statue! Hahaha xD
Hmm...so that's it for now. But heads up for a long overdue haul post that I shall make myself finish as soon as possible!

Snow, snow, snowday...!

So yesterday classes were canceled at the university that San and I attend because of a snowstorm that was predicted to be worst than the amount of snow that we actually got...but I'm still glad that I suddenly got a day off for no reason while San doesn't have school on Wednesdays to begin with ><" (that's my jealous face! LOL)

And when there was quite a bit of snow outside yesterday, I thought it was a great opportunity to take some pictures of the pretty snowy landscape(?) before it turns all brown, mushy and just nasty..hahaha I'm weird I know...
This is how the outside of my window looks like originally...

So....what have I been up to recently?

As the title of this post suggests, this entry will be a rather random entry about a bunch of things that I'm pretty excited about recently and especially since my holiday started which was just four days ago, but it will be ending soon T-T..

First of all, I have more to post about my favourite people, guess who? LOL.....TVXQ (Yunho and Changmin) will be releasing a new Korean album as stated in my previous post and their album cover was revealed in the last couple of days:

Their new album is titled "Keep Your Head Down". :D (Picture Credit: SM Entertainment)

Bring JYJ to CANADA!! xD

Ahahaa...yes I'm back and it's seriously been quite a while since I've last posted so hopefully I'll be finishing part 2 of the "Hills, Mountains and...Caves?" entry sometime soon...but in today's post I'll be talking about something else...hehehe :)

Sooo...three members (Junsu, Jejung, Yuchun = JYJ) from my all time favourite Korean boy band TVXQ (remember them being my obsession? xD) will be releasing a global album titled "The Beginning". In this album they're working with top US producers in order to bring to their huge fan base worldwide a truly amazing global debut album that will consist of many genres including pop, R&B and dance, and more importantly the album will be in English (LOL...how crazy is that?!?). Moreover, to promote the release of their global album, JYJ will be having a new album showcase tour in 10 cities throughout Asia and the US.

However, here's the problem: Canada is once again not on the list of cities that are to be included in the showcase tour but there's many K-pop fans here as well. Therefore, Canadian fans are determined to prove to the organizers of the tour that there's quite a bit of fans in this country and would seriously like JYJ to come and meet their Canadian fans for once! So how can you help? If you're a Cassie or is interested in this at all (I hope I got you slightly interested -__-", but even if you're not scroll down for some eyecandy...LOL), PLEASE join this Facebook group to read more about it: JYJ - The Beginning in Canada.

AHHH...They look sooo hot!!! ;D

a whole lot of random STUFF!

Hmmmm....I haven't written a longer post in a long long long time so here's one but it will actually mostly be consisted of pictures ahaha....b/c I'm bad at writing T-T.

So I've been taking quite a few pictures with my phone lately and many of them are really of some very random stuff that may just so happen to be lying around on my table or in my sister's room (LOL!) and I don't really have much to do with them after they were taken, soooo here they are:

Ahahah...I haven't gotten one of these in a while and I just HAD to get one that day because of what was gonna be inside them!
YES..its Hello Kitty (not something that I'm really into regularly) but pay close attention and you'll see that this isn't any ordinary Hello Kitty stuff, it's for her 35th anniversary which is something that I've wanted since "someone" sang the theme song for her anniversary. Can anyone guess who? LOL

Does anyone know what these colourful things are? (I shall reveal the answer in a later post xD)

The sentence in the speech bubble made me laugh...so I took a picture of it! Very random eh? : )
An egg with a rose that can sit still on a table? Uh no...it's not really an egg but it looks like one and you can do something with it, any guesses? (I'll reveal what it is later ahahha)
I was bored...so I took this picture comparing the size of an Eiffel tower keychain to a sample size NARS nail polish. Hmmm...so do you think the keychain is huge or that the sample bottle is just really small? ><"

Anyways that's all for now because I'm running out of pictures to put up -__-"...but I'm sure I'll have new ones pretty soon ahaha :D

HALFWAY through summer school....!

Yesss, finally a post from me (meaning Pearlie) after a loooooooong time! Hmm...and I guess this would be a quick post about how summer school was ever since it started (because I said I would blog about it in my last post, which was a while ago already ><") and whatever else comes to mind when I'm writing this! :) Soooo, summer school started for 20 something days already i think, which means it's also almost done soon (kinda?!) and I've got one word to describe it: TERRIBLE! Now just why is it terrible? Well, since me and San both have classes from Monday to Friday and classes started way too early in the morning (9AM to be exact) thus we need to wake up rather earlier in the morning to get ready for the hour bus ride to school and still manage to get to class on time and get seats. Also another annoying thing is the extremely BORING readings that need to be read everyday before tutorial because the readings are to be discussed by the students in tutorial. ANDDD lastly (LOL my rant goes on for too long, I know!) half of the marks in tutorial is based on one's participation in class discussions, which I know is a common thing, but how the participation mark is calculated for the tutorials is different according to each TA and for one thing I know my TA seems a bit picky about students actually participating unlike San's TA who seems to be a lot nicer from what she tells me. Oh boy I cant wait till summer school is over after one more essay and two more tests! ;) Anyways enough about school, this past weekend is a long weekend because of Victoria day, thus me and San met up with our friends on Saturday for all you can eat sushi. Hmm...the sushi place was okay but seriously I don't think I want to go for all you can eat again in a short while because it is just too too much LOL. And too bad we didn't take any pictures of the many plates of sushi/Japanese dishes in front of us, or else I would have posted up a photo to show how much we had on the table even though we only ordered once (sounds crazy doesn't it?!) However, we did take photos of each other and here is one of ME AND SAN!! xD
Oh yeah...after re-reading San's previous posts, I would also like to mention one of my current obsessions which is over a Korean drama called "Personal Taste" (anyone watching it??). The main couple in the show (the leading male and female I mean) is just tooooo adorableee! And the entire show is really cute and sweet and there's many funny moments too (refer to the posters of the show below). I'm recommending everyone to go watch it too if you haven't already!

(PICTURE CREDIT: iMBC, Personal Taste's website )

That's all for today, I need to get back to my readings! T-T (And if you got all the way down to this part of the post, well congrats for putting up with my extremely boring post of randomness -_-")
