L'Oreal Sale Madness...*2 tickets available*

Hello all,

Sorry for ignoring this blog for so long, I'm still trying to get used to the fact that I'm done school, lol. And I've been chatting with Pearlie, she's been quite busy lately with settling in and teaching so HOPEFULLY she will get to posting some pictures soon of her life in Korea!

Anyway, getting back on topic, I went to the L'Oreal warehouse sale today! Well technically this is the second time I went but I'd say today's purchases were better since last time was more about buying little gifts for friends =P. Let's get on with the goodies...

$3.75 each, I grabbed the last of these before they sold out!
BABYLIPS!! So excited about these. $3.75 each, only this colour and clear left last time I went...completely sold out already when I went today!
Eyeliners, $3.00 each! I got the two white ones last time but I saw the double ended one today and found that it was more peachy which is what I'm looking for. The stark white liner looks a bit too extreme on the waterline sometimes.
Not sure if you can catch the peachy tone of the new one I got compared to the other white one...makes a huge difference when it's on!
My FAVOURITE blush for $3.00!! This was replaced by the bouncy blush, so I was quite surprised to see this.
I think Alx should remember this colour, it was the first blush I ever bought with her!
This was the BIGGEST steal ever. $3.00 for this baby and it costs $10 in store!! I grabbed a bunch but the other ones I gave away already =P
Can't remember the price for this, think it was $4.50? It's really good though I like it so far =)
One thing I like about this is that it's matte, great for contouring my nose =D
THE BEST PURCHASE OF TODAY! Shu Uemura x Aya Takano limited edition holiday palette. Man that is one long name for a product, and that's the shorter version of it LOL. Price was $56.60
So cute~!!!!! I can't find it online anymore, and I think the original price was $120 according to some blog reviews.
My friend and I both got the same palette because 1) the pink case looked way better and 2) the eyeshadow shades for this was more suited to our taste. The other pink palette had more summer colours like baby blue and what not but I doubt I'll ever use blue shadow. Ah, I love this =D
And that is all I got from the sale. Now as my title suggests, I DO have 2 extra tickets. Each ticket is good for 2 visits, and each visit allows 2 admissions. Down side to it is that this event ends this coming SATURDAY! It's open tomorrow 12-8pm and Saturday 9am-5pm, and it's close to Steeles Ave. W & Petrolia Rd. If you or anyone you know are interested, please let me know, I can arrange to drop these off somehow...lol.

Okay that's all, toodles!

Photo Diary - entry four.

AH MAN it's been a while. Too much stuff happened lately and I'm glad I've gotten some motivation to blog again. At least now I can say the ONLY thing keeping me from blogging is that I have school work. Ask me why I don't blog a week ago and I'd give you a really emo reply.

Anyway, on to some pictures =)

Home made! From a sweet friend on V-day =)
NOMNOMNOM I want more already.
I love my evil cat.
Why does 2 shirts and 6 makeup items cost over $50? Canada today sucks T-T!
Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush! SO CUTE =)
Can't wait to try this...Maybelline 24hr cream shadow (eye tattoo?) in Tough as Taupe.
Hard Candy bronzer/highlighter duo...my friend's purchase. Tried to swatch it and it looked quite nice on her! Considering it now....lol
Sorry it was mostly make up, I really only documented what I did today when I went shopping. The rest of my days are spent at home doing work so there was nothing to take pictures of LOL. My books are here but I lent them to someone! Will have a long overdue library challenge post sometime soon, I promise.

Bye for nowwwww

Estee Lauder and MAC Warehouse Sale (Part 2): Makeup Haul

I know this took foreverrrrrrrr, but I'm finally done with this post about the makeup products that I purchased at the Estee Lauder and MAC warehouse sale (Uhh..the sale I went to was like from last year LOL). So, let's cut the intro short and get on with the haul! :)

The first makeup related item that I picked up at the sale was a MAC Beauty Powder. I found this peachy-coral colour with gold shimmers to be sooooo pretty (after I tried many different shades at their sampling tables xD)...so I decided to get this one and its called "Shell Pearl". I got it at the sale for CAD$15, but it probably retails for approx. US$25 I think?
LOL...I took a picture of the case to show you how boring it looks :P
And here's the actual product..but I think this photo makes the powder looks way darker than it actually is -__-"
Here's a better picture and to me this seems more like the actual shade of colour...oh and you can see the gold shimmers here too! :)

At this huge sampling table, I also tried on different shades of loose powder by MAC and I really wasn't sure what shade would suit me....but in the end I picked up one of their lighter shades NC20 for CAD$15 (retails for approx. US$23).
Yup...here's the "amazing" box of the loose powder! :P
According to MAC, their Select Sheer/Loose Powder is translucent, featherlight, ultra-fine, sublimely silky and provides a sheer and micro-fine finish. Also, they claim that using this powder will matte the skin while keeping its natural glow as if one's skin is almost naked-looking. (If that sounds funny...it's not my fault. I found the description on MAC's site here and I'm just trying to paraphrase LOL :P)
LOL...this is for those who are interested in seeing the actual container of the powder xD

Other than the above powder foundation, I also wanted to buy some kind of liquid foundation because at the time of the sale (which was quite a while ago) I only had one bottle of BB Cream to use as foundation. And if you're wondering why I only have ONE bottle? Well, I actually had other liquid foundations but they were really bad in my opinion and they're getting old...so I threw them away :)

So at the sale, I found Clinique's Supermoisture Makeup Foundation for CAD$10 (retails for approx. US$24).
I got the Clinique Supermoisture Makeup in shade 01 "Pure Porcelain".
Clinique describes this liquid foundation as an "ultra-creamy yet refreshingly lightweight make-up that helps with flaw-fixing, acting as an undercover moisture agent for a dewy look." It should also help with disguising unevenness on one's skin and can instantly comfort those with drier skin types (suitable for "very cry to dry" or "dry combination" skin types). Thus, one's skin should look soft and radiant all day long. (This info is from Clinique's site.)

At the sale, I also picked up a set of brushes from MAC. It's from their 2010 holiday collection, A Tartan Tale. The set of brushes I bought is the Sweep Me Off My Feet Sweep & Define Brush Collection and it consists of 129SE (Powder/Blush), 190SE (Foundation), 212SE (Flat Definer), 227SE (Large Fluff) and 275SE (Medium Angled Shading). I got this for CAD$25, which is quite a good deal since it was originally sold for US$49.50.
Isn't the box pretty with the tartan pattern?
These brushes come in a shiny black and gold handle. And their size is perfect for travelling! :)
This is the bag that it also comes with and it's very cute! But, I'm not sure what I'm using it for yet.
Finally, after paying at the sale we got a free gift on our way out and it was this bluish MAC Eyeshadow called Haunting and it retails for approx. US$15.

Anddddd I swatched three of these products for you to see how it looks on my skin:
If you're wondering why I've only made swatches of 3 and not all 4 of the products, well it's because the loose powder doesn't really show up after I put it on, so there's no point in doing it :P
Anyway, I'M SO SORRY that I've been MIA for so soo soooo long (if you guys still remember who I am that is LOL). And my next post shall be here very very soon and it will be the "BIG" announcement that San's been asking me to post about for a while now ><". So, bear with me and wait for it xD

Bee Bee Queue See Son...Summer Time!

Can you string all those unrelated words above together to figure out what I'm talking about? It's foodie time! Woohoo! I had BBQ after leaving AN2011 and I said I'd talk about that  last time...but there's not much to talk about since I was too busy eating rather than taking pictures of the food XD.

Basically we started out making this:

Kiddy make up!

The other day, I was cleaning out my bathroom closet to make more space for my make up stuff. I don't know why but I love to lay every product out flat so I can SEE what/where each item is, rather than throw them all in a train case/make up case. It's just so convenient to locate and pick up what you need to use, and I never travel with anything more than a little pouch worth of make up.

Sooo, while cleaning up to make space, I found a bag of SUPER OLD MAKE UP STUFF. And I'm talking seriously old stuff...stuff I used in gr.7-9. I don't know why I still had it...it must've been stashed away back then as "stuff I don't use but feel too guilty to throw out because they are nearly brand new" or something. But anyway, it really is quite funny to look back at stuff I used to use =) It's almost the equivalent to laughing at your ugly old clothes...

Look at that! All the glitter shadows, sparkly pinks and purples, and NYC lipglosses that taste disgusting. And of course my weird obsession with glitter sticks...all of which I never used XD. I used it once for...a school dance? And most of the glitter stuff is from my friends for my gr.9 birthday haha ;D. Oh, the shadows that I used to think were silky smooth are like sandpaper now compared to shadows used today...I think the only stuff I would buy again from this stash is the Maybelline lash blast and CoverGirl plum pencil liner.

Make up geek?

Ah, it feels great to be done. I still feel quite sluggish, but I promise to get back to blogging properly soon (STILLLLLLL haven't taken photos of War Machine statue...ugh @.@). In the meantime, enjoy some not so interesting stuff I bought a month ago (but just received like two weeks ago lol) from makeupgeek.com ...because Canada sucks and does not carry NYX stuff in stores -_-" and it's overpriced on the Canadian site!

Sheesh. I saw on the news that the exact same electronic equipment costs 20% more in Canada compared to U.S. WHY???? But  I also hate the stupid shipping/handling fees from U.S. online stores x__x. Anyway, before I digress too much, let's move on to the stash (or lack thereof).

Whoaaa, two items! LOL

Armed and Dangerous: Naked Cyclops Tiger. (Picture heavy!)

Whoa what a messed up name. Either San found a dangerous illegal pet from Pacific Mall (the new Chinatown lol) or she's trying to put a lot of stuff in one post.

Sorry to say, it's not an exotic pet post.

Ahh where to start? So much to talk about @.@ Let's show off the rings first.
Left to Right: H&M ring, Regal Rose 2 finger Cross, gifted Hibari cloud ring (TY Travis!), gifted Silver X's ring, gifted Swirly hearts ring, Beyond Rings Filigree silver ring, and lastly...

Missing Files: BRTC Jasmine.

Remember that BB cream I bought way back in the day? The one I said I'd talk about but never did -_-? Um well...OOPS. I've been using this BRTC Jasmine Water BB Cream since I bought it, never went back to foundation. I think it's partly because it was easier to use and partly because I'm too lazy to search for anything (foundation or BB cream) that's better XD.

How do you make them freakishly large eyes?

So, I tried to make my eyes look like those ever so popular "dolly eyes"...

Doesn't this just scream, "HI I'M BARBIE HEHE" to you?

Ok they actually look bigger in this one.
I feel like my eyes are shrinking lately. I don't know why...been wearing glasses too much maybe? Apparently that makes you squinty...ughh I don't know -_-" I feel so drained lately...=( School sucks. Wait, you know that already...nevermind T-T

I see rainboooows.

I don't get it, WHY can't I post comments on my own/other people's blogs?! Stupid laptop. Wait no, I can't do it on my desktop either. Stupid whatever the problem is. T-T Thank you, person who said I was cute in one of my earlier posts. If you'll ever come across my blog again, you'll see this...maybe -_-"?!

Anyway, on with the fun stuff. I was fooling around with this Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland palette I got a couple months ago (I got it a month before the movie...and then it sold out later on! Wooo, so lucky), and um, yeah. I was fooling around. There's not much more to say than that...LOL. Oooh, in case anyone was wondering, I used pink, orangey-gold, blue, purple, green. The green looks a bit dark because I wore/mixed it with a smog-like colour earlier in the day. I don't know the "Alice" names of the colours, it's all on the box which I'm too lazy to grab lol. For some reason, I'm reminded of Alice Nine's song, RAINBOWS...(uhh, I wonder WHY???)

By the way, I must apologize on behalf of Pearlie. She is currently dealing with a possessed desktop that refuses to cooperate...hope it'll all be fixed soon, so she can post again~

In case any of you have been missing Pearlie, here's us messing around at my house last week (where we watched The Mysteries of Love - 談情說案 together! lol. She is finally reunited with her HERO (only a handful of you will get that joke) =D!! Something worth celebrating of course! Hers is the black one, mine is white. And Pearlie is the one with the Minnie hand, I'm the dead corpse on the bed~

By the way, this was all before I painted my room~! I will post before and after pictures I took the day of, and the mystery colour shall be revealed then. I think I've exhausted myself with lazing around at home, I must go out asap x____x! Hopefully I can find somewhere to go tomorrowwwww. I'll post more if I end up at home again XD. Ciaoooooo~~~

Stripping down down downnnn

I'M BACK~ Weeeeee. Soooo, this next one is even more fun than the last one...make up! I'm sure my friend Travis is loving these, lipstick and make up are two of his favs (WEEHEHEHEHEHE). But of course, I do it with a twist. There're so many posts out there about how to put on make up, so let's go backwards and reveal our scary make up-less faces!! YAY~

Lalala. This is so gross when used on its own, but adding some liquid to it really did help. Umm I forgot who's/what video I got that tip from, sorryyyy (I was sleepy when I watched it >
Maked upped.

Washing it off~ Ahaha, my eyes look big here, I'm surprised.

VOILA, eet eez fini. That's the naked-face me relaxing on my bed. Oh right, I forgot to mention I wear uber huge glasses. *Nerd*

Look, she has no make up too. WAHAHAHA XD

So, do I look very scary without make up? My mom seems to think so LOL. Err, anyway I guess I'm not really trying to bash people who use make up (clearly I use it too) , just that we should all be willing to reveal our natural faces once in a while instead of hide behind masks while "blogging"...I mean, it's a blog about your life so show all aspects of it, not just the pretty side!
