Blonde.

I'm so unmotivated to blog. Mainly because there's nothing to blog about x_x. I completely forgot to take pictures of the DIY haircutting process with Pearlie (sigh), and I also forgot to snap a picture of my friend's new hair colour/cut before she dashed off to work from my place (double sigh). Instead I have a slew of blonde hair pictures. LOL...wth -_-". Remember those wigs I bought a LONG time ago? Yeah well I finally actually "did something" with one of them...XD

I cut the bangs! And very horribly too -_-"
This is one of the few (RIDICULOUSLY BLURRY) pictures that show how loooooong the wig was.

Er, if you don't want to see some seriously "vain" pictures, you should stop reading right here...LOL.

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow - Prettia Sweet Pink and hair update.

Doesn't my title just make you cringe? Lol XD. Anyway, I have so many pictures to throw onto the blog, yet they are scattered with 1-2 pictures of food, hair, nail stuff, face, etc. It would kind of suck to have a separate post for each, since they'd be super short and boring. So I'm *trying* to combine them somehow -_-". As I mentioned before, I dyed my friend's hair with Prettia Sweet Pink, and I realize I haven't said a word about my own hair since I used Prettia Ash & had Pearlie cut it for me, so I'll be giving a small update on my current hair as well.

On to Prettia Sweet Pink first.
Notice how the pink bottle cap/pump looks different? I guess it's their way of saving plastic?! Lol

Our take on DIY bob haircut.

Finally I found most of the videos we used for references on haircut day -_-"!! Well, the truth is, I was too lazy to search for them until today XD. I titled this "our take" on it, because there really isn't much to show you besides the videos LOL. But anyway, here's everything we used to cut my hair:

-regular haircutting scissors
-haircutting comb
-Pearlie (lol)

And here are the videos!
How to section hair for A-line bob cut
How to cut left side of hair for A-line haircut (this only applies if you're cutting the A-line which we didn't)
How to make sure cut is even
How to trim hair for bob cut

Okay that's all. LOL XD...what a pointless post this is...without PICTURES!!

We tied my hair at half the length it used to be and snipped it off first...makes cutting the rest easier =)
Took Pearlie 5 minutes just to cut this off! Looks like a huge make up brush, no?

Almost doneeeeee!

I've haven't made a blog post for more than a month now and I'm sure San is not impressed with that LOL, but my final assignments and exams from school is just too overwhelming for me to do anything else other than "sleep, eat, work, study" x 1000000 ><".... However, I'm almost doneeeee now! The only thing left before this term is officially over is a 15-page take home exam T-T

Anyways, what I wanted to blog about in this post was my haircut that San wanted me to talk about back when I first got it in March (ahaha...yes it's been exactly a month since then ><")

So when I went to get my haircut, I described it as something like this:
I described the length of this girl's hair, not the full fringe in the front...(Credit: www.rasysa.com)

Click "read more" to see my actual haircut! (LOL~)

Headbands.

Here is the story of how I ended up with 5 random headbands.

After finishing my last exam (which I studied for in a day), I rushed to catch a bus to meet Mister D. I fixed my face to hide my exhaustion from studying all week, but I did not have a chance to fix my hair. It looked like crap. Ew. So, I decided to grab a bunch of headbands at the mall to cover it up. Here are some of them.

USAMIMI HEADBAND! It's really long, so the ears part is very exaggerated. Err, don't know when I'll wear this yet

Hurray For CRAAAAAZY Hair!

How do you guys feel about big, poofy hair? I'm asking because when I saw this picture, it got me thinking...

Dara is pretty, but that is some crazy hair XD. Taken from vis-soft.com
...that's SORT OF what my hair looks like 1) when it was really really long 2) right after blow drying.

Here's the messiest of messy hair pictures I could find that's recent.
Eeeek! Is that ME?!?! lol
Is this look BECOMING?! I certainly hope so. I won't have to tame my wild hair anymore and call it "stylish." LOL...

New hair again?

Ahh, I hate studying. Especially when it's for History of Psychology...AHHHHH. Too many names to remember...T_T. Anyway, I wasn't going to make a post until after I'm done my test and assignment but that would mean no posts from me until Nov.21st hahaha. Soo, I'll try my best to slip in some simple posts here and there.

So on Thursday night, I was drying my hair and I realized how gross it looked. I REALLY couldn't take it anymore -_-" I needed a change...any change. And so, I grabbed a pair of scissors (that weren't even hair cutting scissors, because it was too late at night to sneak into parents' bathroom...) and chopped off my bangs. Yep, here it is.

Half my nose is gone! Lol. I toned down my hair colour in the picture, the lighting in the hall made it SUUUPER red -_-"
Okay that's all. XD Please bear with us as we try to survive through the final weeks of this school term plus exams =( I finish off this post with something completely unrelated to hair...

She highlighted all the key points for me. Only study partner I'll ever need =)

San's Ever-changing Hairstyles (picture heavy)

So I decided to post something light today because I don't feel much like typing. And also partially because I'm busy playing Pokemon hahahaha XD. Here, I've compiled some pictures of how my hair has changed over the past few years. Enjoy!

Boring boring...4 years ago. Everything older than that is equally boring o.O
Long black hair and straight bangs 3 years ago
Typical long hair Asian two years ago, summer time
Chopped it all off a couple months after that summer ^
Less than two years ago (haha how accurate am I?) I turned ninja and went super short with uneven sides.
Grew out...dyed ends red.
This is just funny, had to post it. XD
Red fades as hair grows out...one and a half years ago
Cut it again, no more crazy red hair.
Went nuts a little over a year ago and had a bold cut.
Tried to make that bold cut look Asian-y cute. That lasted a couple hours before I ditched that look. Lol
Then I went all Tim Burton-ish.
Hair kept growing...bangs grew out completely
Dyed it red and added curls =D (We're at early this year now I think)
Hair is getting quite long now, tried something new this summer.
Experimented with hair bands that same summer.
Went all "Hairspray" 70s near the end of summer (one time only though lol)
And then dyed it right before school started
Dyed it again in early October.
And now, I haven't done anything yet, so it looks like it's on its way to looking typical Asian hair soon.

Well, there you have it. My hair. I was thinking I should go back to black and make it all curly ...like this
Yubin of Wonder Girls, don't remember where I got this from, it's been too long ><
I don't know. What do you think?

Flattened Hair.

So. Is it worth it to wake up an hour earlier to straighten my hair so it looks like this? Is it????

Kao Prettia hair dye in Chiffon Beige - Review.

My cousin introduced me to this bubble hair dye and I tried to search for it on google to find some good reviews on it. I found some on the reddish tones and some on the dark browns, but nothing detailed on the lighter shades which is what I wanted to buy =( SO, here's my own review of this Kao Prettia hair dye on Chiffon Beige.

First of all, my cousin pointed out to me that Kao Prettia is the same as Kao Liese in terms of colour selections. What's useful to know is that the Liese line has English instructions while the Prettia one is just in Japanese. But, there's always English instructions posted online in forums, youtube tutorials, etc.
This is after I used it, I forgot to take pictures before XD. So you'll notice some leftover foam on the bottles...hahaha.
This is the colour I had hoped for, also the colour that was on my cousin's hair (it looks amazing on her).
Results, depending on your hair colour.
So let's talk about my gross hair first. I naturally have very black hair which I dyed red about 2 months ago. I used a drugstore brand called Nice 'n Easy. Prior to this I had dark brown hair with black roots showing. And wouldn't you know, when I used Nice 'n Easy, the brown parts all turned quite red while the black roots stayed black. Instead of looking like I just dyed it red, it looked like I'm overdue for touch-ups already. -_-" *Sigh*

Before: normal indoor lighting.
Before: direct sunlight indoors
Here are the GOOD things that came out of using Prettia. First of all, it covered my black roots completely. Unlike drugstore brands, this is MUCH more suitable for the stubborn black Asian hair that refuses to take in the hair dye colour (like mine). I'm not saying my hair took in the actual colour I wanted, but hey, it didn't stay black at least XD. Second, one bottle goes a long way. I have medium length hair, but it's incredibly thick. My cousin said she's never had to use the whole bottle of Prettia dye before on her or her friends, but for me, she used the whole bottle on me. Buuuuut, the whole bottle was enough =) You'll see that the tips of my hair are clearly dyed as well as the roots. Some say that this product seems to leave their hair silkier and smoother, but it didn't really feel that way for me, maybe because my hair is very thick and coarse. I did however, feel that it wasn't as heavy as before.
After: normal indoor lighting.
After: indoor with flash.
Now, on to the cons. First, the colour didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. From the box, it clearly shows shades of brown, but mine turned out burgundy, probably due to the red dye from my previous dye job. I can't really blame this on the product, but still, it was a bit disappointing. Second, the roots turned out VERY close to the brown shade that I had hoped for, while the rest of my hair looked reddish. So, if you look very closely, you'll notice a transition of colours from light brown to red in my hair.
The day after: sunlight indoors.
The day after: normal lighting indoors.
Overall, I do like this product. It's amazing how hair dyed at home can have such vibrant colour results. And, even though it looked very red the first day, it turned more brown the next day. This is true to what I've read in other people's reviews where the colour becomes more obvious (and even between the roots and ends) with each wash. I'd say it deserves an 8/10, where the colour goes on best if you had previously black or brown hair. If your hair was previously red like mine, expect a slightly different shade in results XD.
