AH MAN it's been a while. Too much stuff happened lately and I'm glad I've gotten some motivation to blog again. At least now I can say the ONLY thing keeping me from blogging is that I have school work. Ask me why I don't blog a week ago and I'd give you a really emo reply.

The last of 2011, sort of.

So I still haven't taken pictures of all my Christmas presents because one is missing! Stupid UPS is taking forever -_-". I guess I'll combine that with other similar gifts and just show you these ones first then =).

First off, December's library challenge book! It was a gift from my mom so I decided to include it in this post =P. Most of you should be familiar with this...

The Complete Sherlocke Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle (Vintage Classics)

Such a great book. I've finished the first "novel" and is currently reading the second one. I haven't gotten to any short stories yet, it's such a huge book o.O! But it's an amazing read. Even though it's written in a completely different time period, I think it's something everyone would enjoy reading today. So far, I think it's my best book yet in my library challenge collection.

If anyone is interested in reading the stories but don't want to buy the book, I think this site has a free ebook version of the whole thing...not sure if it's complete though in terms of the novels.

JEFFREY CAMPBELL BAG

So nice!!!!!

So happy I got this from D! One day I thought "oooh...I want a very different style bag.." and then I saw this bag! It was meant to be =D!

Really like dark leathery material paired with gold on my bags...it's just like the next bag and also the A/X one I got last Christmas. What's great is this one has fringe!!! Only downside to this bag is that I can't adjust the straps. It does sit okay though, not too long or too short.

ALDO BAG

Stupid room light makes my bag look so ugly =(!!! HATE MY DIM ROOM.

This is the same bag we got Pearlie for birthday, which is also the same bag that Alx has. LOL! Pearlie's is beige, Alx's is grey and mine is dark blue (yeah it looks SO blue here, but it's just my stupid light). We all match, yay ;) Thanks for getting me this, V =)!

HAIR WAVE IRON (??)

From my sister <3. I really don't know what this is called, sorry =(. Basically it's for making beach waves (soft waves) or classic hollywood-type hair (crisp, tight waves). Tried it on a friend with long hair and it looks SO GOOD. Can't wait to try it on my short hair!

EOS Lip Sphere - Strawberry Sorbet/Sweet Mint/Passion Fruit

I got lots of balls this Christmas. HAHAHAHA

I got this from D's parents and another extra 2 (pink and purple) from my sister's set which she didn't want. I gave those 2 to Pearlie and Alx though ;). This is so cute! I'm still using the red one (Summer Fruit) and I don't want to start a new one yet. I took them out to smell them and they're quite nice!

Missing gifts:
PJ PANTS - D's parents got me really cute polar bear ones from Aerie but I already wore them and they're wrinkly (and in my laundry basket LOL) so I didn't take a picture =P. SO COMFY THOUGH...want moreeeeeee!
HELLO KITTY POUCH - Another item from D's parents. It's REALLY cute! I put it in my bag already and I'm too lazy to go downstairs and grab it...so no picture for now =P. Maybe another time?
FOREVER21 GIFT CARD - Also from D's parents...haven't figured out what to get yet though! Maybe some shoes again, hahaha.
NECKLACE & BELT - got this as a SS gift from a friend ^^ both were from Aerie. Love the necklace so much!
CLOTHES - these I've already put away in my closet...they're nothing interesting anyway =P
CHOCOLATE & COOKIES! - Sorry, ate 'em all. HEHEHE...
MONEY! - Lol, no I haven't spent any of it yet! I put it all away, I'm so good =).

I think that's all, minus the two items I will talk about another time. I also got some really small stuff for myself during boxing week...I never seem to go nuts shopping during boxing day/week because I hate being around big crowds (ruins my shopping mood lol).

This works best if you're just picking up a call and only need to press the screen once or twice. Not so great for texting long messages =P

Cheap cases, yo.

Wow I am turning into Pearlie (aka super duper lazy blogger)! Lol just kidding =P I think I'm worse because she rarely blogs due to crazy (sometimes unnecessary) stress from work, while I rarely blog because I'm too busy being lazy. Haha XD.

Anyway, how did everyone's Christmas go? Lots of yummy food, yeah? I had amazing food nearly 4-5 nights in a row, totally gained a crap load of weight =(! I'm sure I'll lose it again from stress once school starts, which is soon (NOOOOOOO!!!!!). Did anyone get any awesome gifts?!?! I got some pretty snazzy ones, once I manage to snap some shots of them I'll blog about my gifts =D. AND WHAT ABOUT NEW YEARS PLANS?! I feel like the rest of my break is going to go by really fast because I have some yummy plans from tomorrow right through to the last day before school starts again. FACK, I really don't like that...I'll probably cry the night before school, complaining about how it's over too soon (like a big baby =P).

So I was at a loss as to what to blog about today, because I haven't taken photos for anything (presents, my December book) or even uploaded event photos (meeting Pearlie, girlfriends, family, yum food shots, etc.) and I didn't want to just type a huge blurb since no one wants to read on this blog lol. Thus I decided to tell you guys about some SERIOUSLY awesome deals I got on iPod cases online =). Don't ask me why I didn't get an iPhone instead, I'm so sick of that question -_-". On to the pictures!

This was the first case I bought at Pacific Mall. I stuck the apple sticker on it because it looked more interesting lol. I was RIPPED OFF. As expected from that stupid mall. Paid $16, found the same thing online for like $2. effffff.

Here are the ones I got from a really good site, FocalPrice! Love this place because it's free shipping and everything is super cheap! It says it's a China-based web store, but when I got the package it was from the States....not sure how that works. They explain it on their site but I didn't read into it. Anyway, it came MUCH faster than other China web stores I've bought from....my stuff came here in 2 weeks, as opposed to the usual 1 month wait from Chinese sites that offer free shipping too.

Got two of these, one for Pearlie ;) we use them when applying mascara, to prevent it from smudging on our eye lids =P.

I bought one more item but I didn't take pictures of it since it was a "secret" present....LOL. It was a super cute jean material iPhone4 case! It was for my girly =D. I think the total for everything was around $20 (maybe a bit less, can't remember) with the most expensive being the iPhone case, and the cases just for the iPods were less than $15. Basically, 4 cases were less than the one case I got from Pacific Mall. Sheesh....definitely never buying cases anywhere else ever again!!!

Estee Lauder and MAC Warehouse Sale (Part 1): Skincare Haul

Two weekends ago (I know I'm late in posting this ><"), I went to the Estee Lauder and MAC sale with my sister because we got the invitations :). We went on the second day of the sale so we initially thought that many of the products may already be sold out. But when we got inside after a 40 minute line-up there were still a wideeeee variety of products available...so we were looking through everything fastttt. And although this sale was called the Estee Lauder and MAC warehouse sale there were also products from Clinique, Bobbi Brown, Lab Series, Origins, and a wide variety of perfume brands such as DKNY and Michael Kors (all of which are brand names that belong under Estee Lauder).

In this post I'll be talking about the skincare products that I got which is like the majority of the stuff I bought because I didn't really need to get more makeup since I don't use them often enough and I already have a lot for some odd reason (I don't even know why ><"). Okay...enough blabbering let's get onto my purchases:

Item #1: Clinique Box Set for Skin Types 1 and 2 (Dry to Dry Combination)

I love this pouch b/c the green flowers are soo cutee. (Btw, you get a sneak peek of the makeup I got on the side LOL)

This box set contains 5 pieces including: 1) the green pouch/bag, 2) a 200ml liquid facial soap mild, 3) a 200ml clarifying lotion 2 (toner), 4) 125ml dramatically different moisturizing lotion (face cream) and 5) a 15ml all about eyes (eye cream). And you can see them in the picture below "read more"...

This should have been up last week, my fault because I failed to upload the pictures *lazy*. Basically we spend the day at Pearlie's house, planning for some changes to be made to the blog. Also, we watched some random movie and stuff online, I don't really know what we watched...-__-", but it was good XD. (Just to clarify, the movie we watched was a pretty recent Chinese film called 單身男女 or Don't Go Breaking My Heart with Daniel Wu, Louis Koo and YuanYuan Gao as the main leads)...we both prefer Daniel's character btw...cause who wouldn't choose the more loyal one???

It's gone through so much. First, there were payment issues, then shipping from their supplier was delayed, and then when they FINALLY shipped it to me, I thought they "lost" it in the mail. But it turns out they left it in my mailbox. WHAT. THE. HELL. Who leaves an expedited high value package in the mailbox??? I didn't even CHECK my mailbox yesterday or the day before because I didn't think anyone would be dumb enough to put it there instead of walking another 10 steps and hand delivering it to me. Seriously, only Canada Post, ladies and gents. Anyway, I'm still waiting for the battery to fully charge so I can't give it a full inspection yet (sooo hoping that everything's okay...) so I took another camera and took pictures of it for you all to see. I present to you, my camera...

Hello again! I finally have a chance to sit down again and make a new post =) As I mentioned last time, I received my package from Hautelook~! I originally didn't want to buy anything from there, but I fell in love with this gorgeous Free People dress. I bought it, felt like it was too expensive, and returned it. I had NO IDEA Hautelook gives you credit instead of money back on returns T-T. If I knew I wouldn't have bought the damn dress >

Bandaged legs.

I'm back as promised with something more interesting to talk about =)! A couple days ago, I received my bandage leggings in the mail from Lipgloss and Black. They are Canadian-based designers who make AWESOME stuff...very rock 'n' roll chic. I've been silently admiring/following them for a while now, but this was the first time I bought something from their online store...and I must say, I'm super impressed! Here's what it looks like:

Snow, snow, snowday...!

So yesterday classes were canceled at the university that San and I attend because of a snowstorm that was predicted to be worst than the amount of snow that we actually got...but I'm still glad that I suddenly got a day off for no reason while San doesn't have school on Wednesdays to begin with ><" (that's my jealous face! LOL)

And when there was quite a bit of snow outside yesterday, I thought it was a great opportunity to take some pictures of the pretty snowy landscape(?) before it turns all brown, mushy and just nasty..hahaha I'm weird I know...

I was going make the very much overdue post about our girls night last weekend, until I realized I don't have enough pictures on hand to do so x___x! Pearlie still has the main bulk of the pictures with all the gift unwrapping and the birthday girl's gift! And of course, she's dying due to school (so what else is new?) so let's just give her some time....LOTS OF TIME...XD.

Okay, enough random poo. I have found something to blog about that's relatively interesting ;). The past weekend, I have purchased some shoes online...WEEEEE. I hate Aldo so much, you know that? Especially when they have sales with free shipping. EFF. Makes me cave in every time.

A heart for you.

I don't know where Pearlie disappeared to =(. SHE HASN'T POSTED AT ALL! Tsk tsk. She did help me with the "read more" thing on blogger, so I can't complain too much XD. Let's hope she'll post SOMETHING soon....before our holiday is over. And let's hope her post will be super duper long to make up for her lack of posts lol. I keep forgetting to post this, but I bought a winter coat! It's nothing special...other than the fact that it's a men's coat =D I decided I needed something warm, but minus the girly styles like the short puffy coats or the long TNA coats that accentuate the waist. I know they're warm, but I just hate how all women's coats are either one of those two styles...and obviously anything else isn't warm enough for super cold days. SOOOO I got a men's parka =) It's a bit big, but it still fits my body structure relatively well. The puffiness of it just adds to the 'rugged guy' look that I was going for. Who doesn't want to look intimidating in the winter?

Okay clearly there's nothing intimidating about this picture. But there it is!

Hurraaaay for men's coats =)! And hurry again that I fit them lol.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 50s "Cheki" Piano Black - Somewhat of a Review.

Hello again. Where is everyone, busy studying? =( Well anyway, I'm here to introduce you to my most recent toy, something I got as an early Christmas present...

 For those of you who don't know, this is the "new" instant camera. Remember Polaroids? Well Fujifilm took that concept and made newer versions, including Instax 210 (takes wide polaroids), Instax Mini 7s and Instax Mini 50s (takes mini polaroids). This one I got, is (or should be) the newest release. I believe it came out in early September this year.

What's so special about it?

Well, it's black. LOL. The older ones were usually white or silver with some other colour combinations, so this was different. Also, this one has a timer, allowing you to take decent group photos. Another nice feature is the shutter speed, which adjusts according to the lighting. In other words, it can now compensate for low lighting so your shots don't look weird (err, I'm summarizing the Fujifilm site description here LOL. I only had this thing for a day, I don't know everything yet...DON'T JUDGE ME -_-).

So here's what came with it...

Camera, batteries, a "close up" lens.

I haven't tried the close up lens yet. In fact, I only took one picture so far LOL. I didn't want to waste film on pictures of my cat, so I'm sort of waiting for a get together with friends to try it out with them.

Obviously this thing is smaller than the 7s cameras. But there is a drawback to it (to me at least). Instead of using 4 AA batteries like the 7s, this uses 2 CR2 batteries. Yes it's smaller, which means lighter weight, but I already have a stack of double and triple A batteries that are rechargeable...now I need new ones x_x. Time to hunt down sales for batteries again...lol.

One pack of film. Costs about a dollar per polaroid lol.

In terms of film, they have quite a large selection now. There are the classic ones like what I have above, and TONS of Disney ones! There're all kinds of pretty designs like Winnie-the-Pooh, Mickey Mouse, and also Sanrio ones like Hello Kitty :)

Of course, a downside to the patterned ones is that you can't write on it...

I prefer the classic ones, feel more like polaroids =). The Pooh one was taken with my friend's camera.

Some people wonder why they sell these things when you can just print any picture of your choice from your digital camera, or even just buy a portable photo printer if you crave that "instant" feeling. It's cheaper!

Well, it's really not the same. These fujifilm cameras feel more nostalgic. It's so retro =D. Taking out your portable printer doesn't have the same effect, trust me.

By the way, I bought my camera from Pacific Mall, BlueWave (I think that's the name). You can also find it on eBay or here.
