Attention all circle lens or soft lens users!

Okay so while I'm still here with blogger open, I might as well write another post. This is pretty exciting because I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product my friend recommended me. I'm a regular circle lens user, and on occasion I wear my regular clear lens, but it just annoys the crap out of me when they start to dry out. This tends to happen 1) after several hours 2) after several uses, and using eye drops to lubricate my eyes is just temporary relief.

So this is what my friend suggested to me:
Taken from soap.com
This is SO GOOD. I also love that little case...lol. I really don't know how to explain how it works so here's what it is straight from their website:
Clear Care® uses hydrogen peroxide that penetrates the lens and kills germs and bacteria for strong disinfection and deep cleaning.
Hydrogen peroxide is part of the Clear Care® Triple-Action cleaning process. After the hydrogen peroxide provides deep cleaning, a built-in surfactant loosens dirt, debris and deposits. Finally, bubbling action enhances surface protein removal.
Here's how it looks when soaking/disinfecting:
SO COOL! I like watching it for some reason LOL. Picture taken from mszjackiechu.com because none of mine captured the bubbling so well -_-"
Anyway, my friend uses this with her circle lenses and she said they feel brand new every time she puts them on. I've just bought this, and I tried it on my clear lenses that bother me after an hour of use (nothing's wrong with them, I just feel more comfy with circle lenses!), and after soaking them in this solution I wore the clear lenses for 6 hours before they started to feel annoying. It's basically nearing the end of the month for this pair, that's why they were getting dry quickly and annoy me a lot -_-" (I literally have to throw them out by the end of this week lol). But anyway, the point is this solution really gets in there and clears away the bacteria which is what counts. If you can't afford to buy daily wear lenses like me then this is a definite must have! I got the solution for $18.99 plus tax at Costco, and you get one case plus 2 bottles of solution. Pretty good deal!
For circle lens users, I think this is similar to using that little lens cleaner you see on circle lens websites, but the solution itself kills bacteria way better than regular contacts solution so it's more worth it to use this =) It'll keep your circle lenses feeling "new" and will help prolong the use of each pair.
Hope this post was useful, keep your eyes healthy!

Photo Diary - entry four.

AH MAN it's been a while. Too much stuff happened lately and I'm glad I've gotten some motivation to blog again. At least now I can say the ONLY thing keeping me from blogging is that I have school work. Ask me why I don't blog a week ago and I'd give you a really emo reply.

Anyway, on to some pictures =)

Home made! From a sweet friend on V-day =)
NOMNOMNOM I want more already.
I love my evil cat.
Why does 2 shirts and 6 makeup items cost over $50? Canada today sucks T-T!
Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush! SO CUTE =)
Can't wait to try this...Maybelline 24hr cream shadow (eye tattoo?) in Tough as Taupe.
Hard Candy bronzer/highlighter duo...my friend's purchase. Tried to swatch it and it looked quite nice on her! Considering it now....lol
Sorry it was mostly make up, I really only documented what I did today when I went shopping. The rest of my days are spent at home doing work so there was nothing to take pictures of LOL. My books are here but I lent them to someone! Will have a long overdue library challenge post sometime soon, I promise.

Bye for nowwwww

Estee Lauder and MAC Warehouse Sale (Part 2): Makeup Haul

I know this took foreverrrrrrrr, but I'm finally done with this post about the makeup products that I purchased at the Estee Lauder and MAC warehouse sale (Uhh..the sale I went to was like from last year LOL). So, let's cut the intro short and get on with the haul! :)

The first makeup related item that I picked up at the sale was a MAC Beauty Powder. I found this peachy-coral colour with gold shimmers to be sooooo pretty (after I tried many different shades at their sampling tables xD)...so I decided to get this one and its called "Shell Pearl". I got it at the sale for CAD$15, but it probably retails for approx. US$25 I think?
LOL...I took a picture of the case to show you how boring it looks :P
And here's the actual product..but I think this photo makes the powder looks way darker than it actually is -__-"
Here's a better picture and to me this seems more like the actual shade of colour...oh and you can see the gold shimmers here too! :)

At this huge sampling table, I also tried on different shades of loose powder by MAC and I really wasn't sure what shade would suit me....but in the end I picked up one of their lighter shades NC20 for CAD$15 (retails for approx. US$23).
Yup...here's the "amazing" box of the loose powder! :P
According to MAC, their Select Sheer/Loose Powder is translucent, featherlight, ultra-fine, sublimely silky and provides a sheer and micro-fine finish. Also, they claim that using this powder will matte the skin while keeping its natural glow as if one's skin is almost naked-looking. (If that sounds funny...it's not my fault. I found the description on MAC's site here and I'm just trying to paraphrase LOL :P)
LOL...this is for those who are interested in seeing the actual container of the powder xD

Other than the above powder foundation, I also wanted to buy some kind of liquid foundation because at the time of the sale (which was quite a while ago) I only had one bottle of BB Cream to use as foundation. And if you're wondering why I only have ONE bottle? Well, I actually had other liquid foundations but they were really bad in my opinion and they're getting old...so I threw them away :)

So at the sale, I found Clinique's Supermoisture Makeup Foundation for CAD$10 (retails for approx. US$24).
I got the Clinique Supermoisture Makeup in shade 01 "Pure Porcelain".
Clinique describes this liquid foundation as an "ultra-creamy yet refreshingly lightweight make-up that helps with flaw-fixing, acting as an undercover moisture agent for a dewy look." It should also help with disguising unevenness on one's skin and can instantly comfort those with drier skin types (suitable for "very cry to dry" or "dry combination" skin types). Thus, one's skin should look soft and radiant all day long. (This info is from Clinique's site.)

At the sale, I also picked up a set of brushes from MAC. It's from their 2010 holiday collection, A Tartan Tale. The set of brushes I bought is the Sweep Me Off My Feet Sweep & Define Brush Collection and it consists of 129SE (Powder/Blush), 190SE (Foundation), 212SE (Flat Definer), 227SE (Large Fluff) and 275SE (Medium Angled Shading). I got this for CAD$25, which is quite a good deal since it was originally sold for US$49.50.
Isn't the box pretty with the tartan pattern?
These brushes come in a shiny black and gold handle. And their size is perfect for travelling! :)
This is the bag that it also comes with and it's very cute! But, I'm not sure what I'm using it for yet.
Finally, after paying at the sale we got a free gift on our way out and it was this bluish MAC Eyeshadow called Haunting and it retails for approx. US$15.

Anddddd I swatched three of these products for you to see how it looks on my skin:
If you're wondering why I've only made swatches of 3 and not all 4 of the products, well it's because the loose powder doesn't really show up after I put it on, so there's no point in doing it :P
Anyway, I'M SO SORRY that I've been MIA for so soo soooo long (if you guys still remember who I am that is LOL). And my next post shall be here very very soon and it will be the "BIG" announcement that San's been asking me to post about for a while now ><". So, bear with me and wait for it xD

Novermber 2011 Luxebox = Super stuffed.

So as my title explains, I got my November Luxebox which is basically this monthly thing where they send me some random beauty samples and what not (soooo bad at explanations, see website for details).

I was SO overwhelmed that I just had to show it to you guys. I was sort of suspicious what was in it since it super heavy when I took it out of the shipping box. I thought it was some glass bottle thing. I saw the Teaopia coupon and thought "oh cool, we got tea samples." But it was in the cutest little tin box EVER! Ahhh so loving this month's stuff. Here it is:

So basically here's what's in it, sort of following the order in the picture...

Teaopia Cactus Fig kit
This came in the orange tin (it's just so ridiculously cute!) and the brown paper filters! I haven't tried it yet but it smells so good...felt very wintery to me =)

Moroccanoil Styling Cream
Wow this is awesome. I use Moroccanoil and various argan oil products after I started dying my hair more often and they REALLY HELP. This is going to be veeeery useful =D Only down side to this is that it smells just like every other Moroccanoil product, which lacks the sweet vanilla-ish scent of the other brands.

Benefit B. Right! Moisture Prep Toning Lotion
Never tried a Benefit product before, so this is interesting ;). Liking the ingredients list so far, and I do need a proper lotion...this came at the right time lol.
***oopsies, just went back and actually READ the description of this and it's actually a toner =P. How misleading is "toning lotion" though, right? Lol XD***

Lise Watier Plumpissimo Le Gloss
Colour is veeery sheer, quite nice. I'd describe it as a dusty pink with gold shimmer. I don't use lipgloss that often but I am pretty happy since this is the first time I got any lip stuff from Luxebox to try (about time? lol)

Olay Regenerist Wrinkle Solution Complex
A bonus perhaps? Wasn't listed in the card, so I dunno. But COOL! I need this...@.@

Paco Rabanne Black XS for Her and Black XS
These two fragrance keychains look so cute!  I think I'm going to end up using both...the men's one isn't very "masculine" like the men's cologne I've gotten a whiff of (ugh, never again). They are so nice...I like how the men's one looks like a lighter, you actually open it like one ;)

And that is my very lengthy thoughts on this month's Luxebox. I usually don't write reviews for these things because there are so many out there and I'm too lazy to do it...but this one was just too cool not to share haha.

Back to work for me~

Library Challenge for October

I am late!! But it's a really good book, I promise =). Here it is:

Tokyo on Foot
by: Florent Chavouet

Long story short, Pearlie actually bought this book first and I ordered it from amazon for her (free shipping with my textbooks!). I flipped through it and thought it was really cool, so I got one myself =D.Since she has said nothing of it on the blog, I decided to make it part of the library challenge~

It's a veeery interesting book. Basically it's the life of Tokyo through the art of a French guy who lived there for six months. A lot of times he pokes fun at some of the people, and it's quite amusing =).

Kazuya Kamenashi! This made me laugh so hard.

And now for unrelated stuff.
Creamy brown shade + mint green covered in gold crackle. Turned out pretty cool =D
Got this Chloe sample in October Luxebox. LOVE THIS SCENT.
Anyway, that's all!

Les Yeux.

Gathered some pictures today and found that my recent mail purchases all have to do with my eyes =P. Here's what I got:

I'm sure you've already seen these crazy things making several appearances in past posts.
The Cobra Shop's Almost Famous Sunglasses
When I first saw those here I thought-
"hmm, pretty cool."
"...but, she's wearing it, so it must cost an arm and a leg."
*clicks link to the store*
"WHAT, SO CHEAP?"
...and so, I bought it XD. I've always been a fan of quirky shades, so this was nice to add to my collection. The Cobra Shop is a pretty cool online thrift store, so you should check it out if you're into the whole thrift shopping thing. They sure love to give out funky stickers =)

Make up geek?

Ah, it feels great to be done. I still feel quite sluggish, but I promise to get back to blogging properly soon (STILLLLLLL haven't taken photos of War Machine statue...ugh @.@). In the meantime, enjoy some not so interesting stuff I bought a month ago (but just received like two weeks ago lol) from makeupgeek.com ...because Canada sucks and does not carry NYX stuff in stores -_-" and it's overpriced on the Canadian site!

Sheesh. I saw on the news that the exact same electronic equipment costs 20% more in Canada compared to U.S. WHY???? But  I also hate the stupid shipping/handling fees from U.S. online stores x__x. Anyway, before I digress too much, let's move on to the stash (or lack thereof).

Whoaaa, two items! LOL

Armed and Dangerous: Naked Cyclops Tiger. (Picture heavy!)

Whoa what a messed up name. Either San found a dangerous illegal pet from Pacific Mall (the new Chinatown lol) or she's trying to put a lot of stuff in one post.

Sorry to say, it's not an exotic pet post.

Ahh where to start? So much to talk about @.@ Let's show off the rings first.
Left to Right: H&M ring, Regal Rose 2 finger Cross, gifted Hibari cloud ring (TY Travis!), gifted Silver X's ring, gifted Swirly hearts ring, Beyond Rings Filigree silver ring, and lastly...

Missing Files: BRTC Jasmine.

Remember that BB cream I bought way back in the day? The one I said I'd talk about but never did -_-? Um well...OOPS. I've been using this BRTC Jasmine Water BB Cream since I bought it, never went back to foundation. I think it's partly because it was easier to use and partly because I'm too lazy to search for anything (foundation or BB cream) that's better XD.

Matte about you

Today, Pearlie and I spent the day together...doing stuff. Can't really say what, and posting any of the pictures would totally give it away ><". I guess I'll have to wait until I can actually post those pictures...-_-" Meanwhile, I finally tried the Essie matte finisher nail polish and it's awesomeeeeee. Basically, you put a layer of this over any kind of nail polish and it will mattify it instantly. Soooo, you can wear your favourite shade of shiny purple as if it was a matte nail polish all along...<3!!

In the box...
I love how the texture feels different too. It's so...not smooth. Lol XD. ANDDD....I got it for a steal~~ There was a sidewalk sale at the mall last month (yes, I left this thing on my table untouched for that long -_-") and they had discounts on their Essie nail polish, so I picked this up for around $8 rather than the usual $10-11. However, it turns out this product wasn't included in the sale, but the sales girl who sold it to me had no idea at the time. WAHAHAHA.

Here it is on my pinky only. Can you see the difference??  I know it looks pretty messy, I was too lazy to apply a fresh coat of nail polish first XD
I can't stop stroking the nail on my pinky and then the rest of them, just to feel the difference. Yes I'm weird ^^. Ah yes, one more thing...we're FINALLY working on the "More About Us" section" and hopefully it'll be done soooon...it should be interesting. ;)

August 13, 2010

stuuuuuuuuuuff.

I feel so lazy and unmotivated to blog...but I should post a picture of this stuff before I forget:

Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs - Light Glow

This is an interesting product. I got it because it promised me perfect "airbrushed" legs. I ended up with perfect legs, but with a sparkle.

Pros?
Well first of all, it did even out my skin and made my legs look amazing. I have some razor burns and some weird bumps/dots on my legs from years of shaving (which I HATE), and this really covered that up. It didn't rub off on my clothes either which was nice. Also, it looked very natural when indoors. My legs are actually very pale, so the shade I bought was actually a little bit dark on me. Unfortunately that was the lightest shade available at any Canadian stores near me so I went with it. Surprisingly, it worked for me because it made my legs look slightly tan and golden. I guess if you want a slight tan, then get a shade darker or something.

Cons?
When you're in the sun it will become glittery. OH YAY...my legs looked like Edward Cullen...-_-". It's just so embarassing when someone stands beside me and realizes my legs sparkle. And it's not just a little bit, it's A LOT. So yes, people will definitely notice something is on your legs when you're outside.

My verdict?
I'm sort of split on this one. Indoors, it looks great. It was just what I needed when I wore dresses for fancy dinners and what not. But the fact that I sparkle in the sun bothers the hell out of me. I think I'm not going to buy this again in a while, but who knows. Maybe I'll try a lighter shade if they become available...5.5/10 for now.

BRTC Jasmine Water BB Cream
I leave you with a picture of what I bought recently at Pacific Mall. I've been itching to try bb creams for a while now, it seemed sooo cooool. I haven't used it so yet, so I can't say much about it. But I did test it in the store and it smelled SO GOOD. Hopefully it does what it says...

By the way, be careful when shopping in Pacific Mall >.>. Be sure to bring a Chinese friend with you who speaks FLUENT Chinese, so you don't get charged tax. I'm still sort of mad that I paid quite a bit more than what it's worth on the brtc.com site. Ugh, never again.
