Shoes and books and books and shoes.

It's funny how I complained about how grossly hot this September is, and yet today (and yesterday) I nearly froze to death in a light sweater and jacket. The weather guy this morning said it should be around 22 degrees at this time of year...well it was 15. And felt like...12?! -_-" Weird...

OH MY, the funniest thing happened today. This lady rang the door bell with a pile of flyers (for elections) and I'm guessing she had this huge speech prepared because when she looked up and saw me she froze for a sec and said, "oh, you aren't old enough to vote yet...right?" And I said "that's right, m'am." Of course, I'm just LOLing inside wondering how I could possibly look like I'm younger than 18. It was truly amusing and not as flattering as you'd think because she then continued to talk to me in a very "aww what a cute little kid" tone. At least it saved me from hearing her explain why I should vote for whoever. She just asked "you know who your mom and dad are voting for, dear?" Which I replied with "this guy on your flyer!!! *gives her a big smile*" and then she went away happy. We all had a good laugh at the dinner table tonight about me being 17 again. Next time I want to look like a kid again, I'll be sure to pull back my bangs, wear cateye glasses and silly cartoon pyjamas.
This is me at the door. Do you see high school kid? I just see lazy and oily adult. LOL
Anyway, this blog post does have a point...let me get to it XD. I present you with September's book for the library challenge!
Uncanny X-Men: Sisterhood
I can't help but feel like I cheated, because it's another comic book. And only one this time, thinner than the first two! Lol...oh well. It was a good read XD. I ordered a cool book for Pearlie off Amazon...if it turns out as awesome as she claims, then I might get another one for myself because the artwork looks really good. Bleh,  I really don't know what book to buy for next month T-T! I just know it cannot be a comic book, no matter how tempting it is...

Another thing I bought which I shouldn't have are these shoes.
WHY? Why did you have to have a sale, Aldo? And with free shipping? And have my size for these two very much reduced clearance shoes? *Sigh* it's impossible to escape Aldo...T-T

Can you spot the cat hair? LOL
I'm already thinking I'll use fabric paint to darken the second pair from white to dark brown or even grey sometime in the future. I already foresee the white getting dirty lol.

WHICH PAIR DO YOU LIKE MORE?! Tell me, I'd really like to know. ;)

Okay, we have come to the end of my very interesting post. School starts horribly early tomorrow =(. Hopefully I can get some shopping done afterwards, because I have some...COUPONS!!!! Lol my friend from school said I'm such a thrifter hahahahaha. SO TRUE, SO TRUE.

Good night, all.

New Red Bow~!

Hurray, our new layout and banner is all done =D. Well, we didn't have to do much...Pearlie tested out and tweaked the layout we picked out, we finalized the colours and font for the banner, I drew the bow and we just put it all together. Took like...half a day LOL. Easier than expected -_-" but we DID plan for it to look a bit more complex, it just didn't work out XD. ANYWAY we messed around while making the final touches to the updates so here are more random shots of how we spent our Victoria Day =)!

I don't know why I always take a picture of our bags when we hang out XD
Pearlie's purse and my new camera bag from Ebay!

Shoo shoo hag! (Somewhat picture heavy.)

I was going make the very much overdue post about our girls night last weekend, until I realized I don't have enough pictures on hand to do so x___x! Pearlie still has the main bulk of the pictures with all the gift unwrapping and the birthday girl's gift! And of course, she's dying due to school (so what else is new?) so let's just give her some time....LOTS OF TIME...XD.

Okay, enough random poo. I have found something to blog about that's relatively interesting ;). The past weekend, I have purchased some shoes online...WEEEEE. I hate Aldo so much, you know that? Especially when they have sales with free shipping. EFF. Makes me cave in every time.

Docs, docs, docs.

Dedicating this post to Docs, which I LOVE. So comfortable, it's amazing! I got my first pair last year as an anniversary gift from mister D...

Silver 14 eyes! I still love them more than any other pair of shoes I own, partially because I can grab everyone's attention without me having to wear killer heels. WAHAHAHA...my moon boots are love.

These purple 8 eyes I bought more recently. They're veeery comfortable! And obviously it's more casual, since it doesn't reflect light like the other ones XD

...and guess what? The boyfriend got a pair of matte black docs, thanks to me constantly annoying him about how good Docs would look on him =). Oh, but these aren't the ones he ended up with. He returned it for the 14 eyes. WOOHOO, even better ;). Honestly, any guy can wear 8 eyed Docs, but few can pull off 14 without looking...um...weird. This is all according to the sales girl, NOT me. Then again, maybe she was trying to get him to buy the 14 eyes since it's more expensive. LOL, who knows?!

I've noticed that the 14 eyes are not as comfortable as the 8 eyes...this is also true for a friend of mine who also wears Docs. My 14 eyed ones are soft leather, so there's this hard THING they added in there near my achilles heel and it scratches me when I walk in them for too long. Another thing is, I bought UK size 6 because the size smaller is too tight on me. That little extra space in there is probably why it scratches me. It's horrible ><" Buuuut, I found a cheap solution to this. I added a thick piece of square foam which I found from my brother's computer room. I'm sure you'll find a lot of these when you have things shipped to you in the mail. Anyway, placing them right at the back is perfect. The foamie adjusts to the curve of my heel and it's thickness keeps the hard thing from scratching me. I've tried those drug store sold soft heel protectors you stick inside your high heels that serve the same purpose. They do noooot work. Not for these shoes -_-" Soooo....foamies, in my opinion, are the best way to go =)

If you like chunky shoes that feel comfy but look awesome, you should consider Docs. Best part is, there're so many styles! I'm currently loving the floral ones, but I'm sure I won't buy them. One crazy pair + one normal pair is enough for me =) I'm going to buy other shoes instead! LOL...I can just picture Pearlie shaking her head in disapproval while reading this. Anyway, that's all for today, I wrote too much XD. My constantly runny nose is driving me crazy, I must take care of it now...(I'm literally running around the house for more kleenex screaming, "WILL YOU STOP RUNNING ALREADY!?!?!" Yeah, I talk to my nose. A little too often.
