Anime North 2011 - Saturday (during event)

GODDAMNIT. I am starting to hate blogger so badly now. I sat down and organized all my photos yesterday to blog about the event, but blogger fails on me! Couldn't upload a single picture! Eff you blogger -_-". Anyway, this is part one, as I decided to separate the actual event photos from the messing around/non-AN2011 related photos.

Was only there for a couple hours...I was pretty bored lol. It was nice seeing so many lovely cosplays, also kinda freaky too seeing the weirder ones (yeaaah, let's not go there lol). I didn't take too many pictures which is unfortunate...Saturday is just too crowded to take good pictures of people -_-"

Whoaaa, the GazettE's VORTEX pv is soooo cool. Especially Aoi...PINK HAIR!! I like it. A LOT. He looks good with it. I know, this is probably not very "new" news, but it is to me...lol.

New Red Bow~!

Hurray, our new layout and banner is all done =D. Well, we didn't have to do much...Pearlie tested out and tweaked the layout we picked out, we finalized the colours and font for the banner, I drew the bow and we just put it all together. Took like...half a day LOL. Easier than expected -_-" but we DID plan for it to look a bit more complex, it just didn't work out XD. ANYWAY we messed around while making the final touches to the updates so here are more random shots of how we spent our Victoria Day =)!

Spring Inspiration.

I know that we are more than halfway into spring already...but I still wanted to post up this entry with pictures of some outfits that give me interesting ideas on what to wear when we have nice warm weather (even though the last few days have been rainy and cold T-T). This should have been up last week, my fault because I failed to upload the pictures *lazy*. Basically we spend the day at Pearlie's house, planning for some changes to be made to the blog. Also, we watched some random movie and stuff online, I don't really know what we watched...-__-", but it was good XD. (Just to clarify, the movie we watched was a pretty recent Chinese film called 單身男女 or Don't Go Breaking My Heart with Daniel Wu, Louis Koo and YuanYuan Gao as the main leads)...we both prefer Daniel's character btw...cause who wouldn't choose the more loyal one???

Ok first of all....what the eff, blogger? I swear there were newer comments on the last few posts that Alx, Pearlie and myself wrote and after yesterday's "maintenance" they disappeared. Geez...-_-" I don't even know what we said! Ugh. LAME. Anyway, sorry Al! o.O

Okay on to today. I received my new equipment and I started messing around with them today...LOVING IT! Super fun to use =D

The Cobra Shop's Almost Famous Sunglasses

 When I first saw those here I thought-
"hmm, pretty cool."
"...but, she's wearing it, so it must cost an arm and a leg."

...and so, I bought it XD. I've always been a fan of quirky shades, so this was nice to add to my collection. The Cobra Shop is a pretty cool online thrift store, so you should check it out if you're into the whole thrift shopping thing. They sure love to give out funky stickers =)

Kiddy make up!

The other day, I was cleaning out my bathroom closet to make more space for my make up stuff. I don't know why but I love to lay every product out flat so I can SEE what/where each item is, rather than throw them all in a train case/make up case. It's just so convenient to locate and pick up what you need to use, and I never travel with anything more than a little pouch worth of make up.

Sooo, while cleaning up to make space, I found a bag of SUPER OLD MAKE UP STUFF. And I'm talking seriously old stuff...stuff I used in gr.7-9. I don't know why I still had it...it must've been stashed away back then as "stuff I don't use but feel too guilty to throw out because they are nearly brand new" or something. But anyway, it really is quite funny to look back at stuff I used to use =) It's almost the equivalent to laughing at your ugly old clothes...

 Look at that! All the glitter shadows, sparkly pinks and purples, and NYC lipglosses that taste disgusting. And of course my weird obsession with glitter sticks...all of which I never used XD. I used it once for...a school dance? And most of the glitter stuff is from my friends for my gr.9 birthday haha ;D. Oh, the shadows that I used to think were silky smooth are like sandpaper now compared to shadows used today...I think the only stuff I would buy again from this stash is the Maybelline lash blast and CoverGirl plum pencil liner.

Frappuccino Happy Hour :)

This is another short post I'm making to let everyone know (if you don't already) that at various locations of Starbucks in Canada, they are having their "Frappuccino Happy Hour" event! From May 6th to May 15th (which mean it started already :D) between 3-5 p.m., you can get Frappuccino blended beverages for half price at participating stores! :)

Our take on DIY bob haircut.

Finally I found most of the videos we used for references on haircut day -_-"!! Well, the truth is, I was too lazy to search for them until today XD. I titled this "our take" on it, because there really isn't much to show you besides the videos LOL. But anyway, here's everything we used to cut my hair:

-regular haircutting scissors
-haircutting comb
-Pearlie (lol)

Just can't get enough - Hair dyes galore.

I am aching x_x! Took a seriously long power walk with a friend yesterday. While taking a break in Pacific Mall, we grabbed her a Prettia Sweet Pink dye (new hair colour for her grad), and some delicious fruit drinks. I chose a weird yet yummy combination...mango and advocado. It looks thick and green but tastes mainly of mango XD. Not bad, I think I'd definitely want one of these over bubble tea any day.

Took a few quick phone cam snaps while waiting for our drinks.

My Outfit From A Few Days Ago?!

I'm finally doneeeeeee! :)

Hmmm...I was actually finished with exams a week ago but I just haven't posted anything yet hahaha...And then I was going to make this post but I got too tired that day and didn't finish it...soooo this is why this outfit was from a few days ago rather than today's. Moreover, today's outfit would be even more boring because its cold and wet outside so I didn't wear anything worthy of making a post at all ><"

So, I don't have everything exactly like the above picture BUT what I was wearing on that day was similar to what's in the picture, such as the cargo skinny jeans, denim biker jacket, the tee with words, the brown bag and the suede loafers xD...Btw, if you're wondering why I didn't take a picture of me wearing this outfit, well it's because I don't have a full body mirror to do so...haha lame reason I know :P

Lastly, I know I complain a lot about this...but seriously when exactly will we have warm and sunny days so that I can wear stuff that matches with our usual ideas of spring?

Prettia revisted...Natural Ash!

Wow, I am exhausted. It's been a long two days x_x. WHEW. Anyway, let's get right down to business...I have for you another review for Prettia hair dye by Kao.

Before that, let's review the history of my hair first. If you recall, I've used Chiffon Beige and Hi-Bleach, and for my last dye job, I dyed my hair L'Oreal blue-black (see "hair dye" label for corresponding posts). While reading my review, keep in mind that I am dying this new colour on top of my L'Oreal dyed hair. Though it has faded to a very natural looking black, it is still there. So my results will DEFINITELY show up differently from yours if you are dying it on natural black hair.

Moving right along, today's dye is...Natural Ash!
